  I got some labs done on 3 miles cut out! I've got them done for years from the same doctor, and when I got the bill this time it was $1100 before sent to my insurance, for 1 that was more cost then a MRI I recently had done and I've never been charged that much! So after it was sent to my insurance the bill was over $500 I called on it and IHC billing office told me that my insurance wasn't in network! Um ok them why did you not contact me before you sent them out because I could have them done at somewhere in network never had a problem before, she told me to contact the doctors office, so I did, 48 hours later I got a call back telling me to call the billing office, so I did, argued with the guy for 1/2 hour he said I was in network and some of the tests were not covered um none of this makes sense and I'm stuck with a bill that wasn't covered cause I was told it wasn't in network, I'm getting the run around and I told him they have my insurance information on file and they can look up if the tests will be covered before they send them, so why was I not informed or they still sent them when I wouldn't have had them done them here I would have went where it was in network, my doctor is in network but not the labs, why would I pay more out of pocket when I could have them done somewhere else, IHC needs to inform there patients of these things, they just lost me as a patient!!
